Arnie Ziffel’s, in the heart of Surfers Paradise, is the new home of 50 cent chicken wings, in a choice of five finger-licking flavours.
There’s Cy’s buffalo, garlic parmesan, honey garlic, fire and ice (hot chilli with honey and garlic) and smokey BBQ flavour.
The new kid on the block is the perfect place for after work Happy Hour (every day from 5 to 7pm) or prior to hitting the town.
Speaking of Happy Hour, the bar and char venue offers $5 Summer Ales from 4 Pines Brewery and 50 cent chicken ribs too.
On Wednesday’s, wings are 50 cents all day – that’s hump day happiness right there.
While you’re there indulge in a game of pool, ping-pong or oversized Jenga and Connect Four – it’s a party lovers paradise.
Named after Arnold Ziffel, the pig of Green Acres fame (a 1960’s TV comedy series about a couple who move from the big city to a small town farm), the bar and char venue has recently replaced TAPS in Surfers Paradise.
It overlooks bustling Orchid Ave (above Shooters nightclub) and with it’s wooden floors and oversized board games, offers a chilled out, old school vibe.
Appetizers (or Arnietizers as they’re known in-house) range from Socca – housemade crispy flatbread made with chickpea flour and hailing from Chef Amandine’s hometown of Nice – to tempura vegetables, bruschetta and house made garlic bread.
Sliders are a favourite in flavours such as Eggers Can’t Be Cheezers and the Arnie (rib fillet steak) and served with handmade chips, who wouldn’t be a fan?
Mains on offer are all the best things – eye fillet steak and rib eye on the bone, chicken parmi, Portugese chicken and salmon steak plus salads and options just for the little ones.
If you’re looking for a good time, with fun and games aplenty for groups of friends or after-work drinks, head down to Arnie Ziffel, one visit definitely won’t be enough.
