7pm to 9.30pm
AUSTRALIA’s only short film festival on the beach will return to Surfers Paradise as SIPFest (Shorts in Paradise Festival) screens its annual showcase of cinematic masterpieces from emerging filmmakers on Sunday, April 22.
SIPFest 2018 will feature the best new short films from around Australia, carefully selected from 139 entrants – up 12 per cent from 2017.
The event transforms iconic Surfers Paradise beach into a vibrant outdoor film experience, with stars overhead and sand underfoot, as film buffs relax into beanbags and camping chairs to enjoy a night of action on the big screen.
Each film is between five and 10 minutes, spanning genres such as comedy, drama, documentaries and thrillers, making SIPFest the perfect date night destination.
