The time has come again folks, US Independence Day, and you know us, any excuse to eat tasty food and drink bulk beers.

Luckily, the Gold Coast is home to quite a number of American-style eateries and we might just visit every single one over the next few days.

Here are nine (from north to south) you should stop into to celebrate our US friends’ day of independence.

Tribeca NYC
Well known amongst locals, Tribeca NYC are putting a modern spin on traditional American flavours and keep things real by returning to the states every few months just to keep any food movements in check. Their signature dish is the BBQ ribs, they’re simply perfection (hot tip: on Wednesday’s get a rack of ribs with slaw for just $19.95)! Keep an eye on them cause they’re known for regular menu changes to keep things on point!
Where: 58 Thomas Drive, Chevron Island

Brooklyn Depot Kitchen & Brew
The gang at Brooklyn Depot have set the bar high with burgers as big as your head and perhaps the biggest selection of tasty sides around. Celebrate by chowing down on a bourbon glazed beef brisket, good ole’ American corndogs and blueberry cherry cream cheese pies (yep). Wash all that down with a Bloody A-Mary-ca their twist on the classic Bloody Mary.
Where: The 4217 Beach Rd, Surfers Paradise

Hard Rock Cafe
It’s the ultimate American restaurant and sports bar and we absolutely love our upstairs Surfers version. Think huge burgers with sides of onion rings and all of the frosty cold beers! On Tuesday’s you can get involved in all you can eat ribs for just $39 from 5pm to 9pm. Two serves please.
Where: Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise

Hooters
Say the word Hooters and one thing in particular comes to mind…chicken wings! Because D E L I C I O U S, particularly at Hooters. The legendary sports bar reached cult status long ago and we locals are stoked to have this world famous venue on the Gold Coast. Plenty of good vibes and a big old American-style feast awaits.

The Loose Moose
Promising ‘dirty food made clean’ and all the good vibes in the heart of Broadbeach is The Loose Moose. If you’re all about delicious, delicious buffalo wings or loaded fries, go crazy and keep a relatively clear conscience. The spacious, delightfully decorated venue also offers over 100 varieties of whiskey and plenty of unique tap beers so definitely get involved in that.

Easy Street Diner
The team at Easy Street changed the American food game big time! Besides the sweet Insta-worthy diner-style interior, the food is really very yummy and the drinks are on par. It’s THE hangover hangout (they even do take away if the couch is calling) and food-wise, they’ve got it all; from Mac’n’Cheese to burgers and fried chicken with waffles and maple syrup. All the best things in life.

Buffalo Sears Smoke House, Whiskey & Brew
Burleigh’s Buffalo Sears is serving up all your favourite US-style smoked meats – ribs, pulled pork, brisket and whole chickens, you name it, they smoke it. Add a side of chicken wings with blue cheese sauce and a litre of beer and you’ve got yourself a good old-fashioned American feast. Good luck walking out of there.

Lester & Earl
The swankiest cowboy bar to get your American BBQ fix complete with Gold Coast beach views, wrap around verandas and western-style saloon interiors.
