Infomaps Australia began in 2000 with our first publication being the Gold Coast Tourist Guide Map. Now in it's 9th year of production we now produce 600,000 maps per year, distributing them to Gold Coast accommodation houses, tour desks, information booths, McDonald's Restaurants, Birch Carroll Coyle Cinemas, BP Service Stations, RACQ Offices, Surf Clubs, and through many of our advertisers.
 
In 2005 Infomaps began producing an A5 high gloss tourism magazine, golf maps, shopping maps and we also acquired 2 compendium businesses, making ours the largest compendium service on the Gold Coast.
 
Infomaps Gold Coast Tourist Magazine is unique because of it's 1/3 operator product listings, which are advertisements which include an image, a logo, promotional text and pricing for various activities and attractions on the Gold Coast. What makes the listings unique is that they do not contain any contact details, rather they direct enquiries and bookings to tour desks and building receptions on the Gold Coast. For this reason, we find managers are happy to hand out our magazine to their guests, as it directs the bookings back to them.
 
The Gold Coast Golf Guide has now combined with the Gold Coast Shopping Guide and the first edition will begin distribution in April 2009. We are very excited about this new concept and look forward to measuring the response from the public and our advertisers alike.
 
Infomaps also offers a fantastic compendium service to accommodation houses on the Gold Coast. We provide colourful folders, create and print the building information pages, and include emergency contact information, beach safety information and a local area map. At the back of the compendium folder is where you will find our Gold Coast Tourism Directory, which is a high gloss A4 publication full of local information and advertisements on attractions and things to do on the Gold Coast.
 
We have nearly 7,000 rooms on the Gold Coast with our compendiums in them, and this number continues to climb as more buildings discover the benefits of using Infomaps for their compendium needs.
